I am from Barcelona and completed both my BSc and MSc in Organic Chemistry at the Universitat de Barcelona. I worked under Prof. Xavier Vergaduer and Prof. Antoni Riera on synthetic chemistry, focusing on asymmetric hydrogenation and catalyst design. I am also very interested in outreach, which is why, for the last two years, I have been working at a science museum. Outside of the lab, I enjoy reading, travelling, and going to (a lot of) concerts.
I am from Truro, Cornwall, and I recently graduated with a BA and an MSci in Natural Sciences from Churchill College, University of Cambridge. At the start of my degree, I intended to study biochemistry, but halfway through I switched my focus to chemistry. My Master's project was in Dr Claudia Bonfio's lab, where I investigated prebiotic and synthetic routes to fully conjugated lipids. I have also interned in Prof Brian Liau's lab at Harvard, where I worked on a CRISPR-Cas9 screen of a gene implicated in leukaemia. I look forward to marrying my chemical and biological interests, and hopefully incorporating an environmental aspect too, during my PhD project with Dr Will Unsworth, Dr Chris Spicer, Dr Martin Fascione, and Prof Chris Schofield. Outside studies, I enjoy writing music and exploring new places.
Originally from Bangor, Northern Ireland, I graduated from Heriot-Watt University in 2026 with an MChem degree. During my Master's project, I focused on developing new synthetic strategies for post-polymerisation chemical modification, supervised by Dr Liam Donnelly. Outside the lab, I enjoy reading and experimenting with new recipes, and I was an active member of the university cheerleading club throughout my studies.
Weston Earth Scholarship 2026
I am from north-west London and completed my MChem at Somerville College, University of Oxford. During my degree, I completed a master's project on the photochemical reductive alkylation of cyclic N-acyl hemiaminals, as well as a summer research project investigating the direct reduction of esters to aldehydes using a modified Vaska's complex. I am excited to join the Dixon group for my DPhil, continuing my research in reductive coupling. Outside of chemistry, I enjoy playing music and perform with a few of bands in Oxford.
Originally from Warwickshire, I graduated from the University of Bath in 2025 with a BSc in Natural Sciences (Chemistry and Biochemistry), where I completed my final‑year project in the James group. As part of my degree, I also undertook a professional placement in the organic chemistry team at Bicycle Therapeutics, Cambridge. Recently, I completed an MRes in Drug Discovery and Development working within the Bull group at Imperial College London on the design and synthesis of novel covalent warheads for drug discovery applications. On the whole, my research interests centre on organic chemistry and its use in addressing biological and therapeutic challenges. In my spare time, I enjoy running, cooking, spending time with friends and family and travelling when I can!

I am originally from Kent and I completed my MChem degree at Lincoln College, University of Oxford. For my masters year, I carried out a project under the supervision of Prof. Darren Dixon. This project involved the development of the use of superbasic bifunctional organocatalysts in desymmetrisation reactions. Outside of chemistry, I enjoy playing video games and spending time with friends
I’m from North Yorkshire and completed my MChem degree at the University of York, where I developed a passion for sustainable chemistry and catalysis. For my master’s year, I undertook an industrial placement at Johnson Matthey, working on the development of novel catalysts for the upgrading of biomass-derived compounds to sustainable aviation fuel. Outside of chemistry, I enjoy travelling, watching football, and playing padel.
I am Polish and Chinese, and I grew up in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. I then moved to the UK to complete my MSci in Chemistry at University College London. Throughout my studies, I developed academic skills in several areas, such as sustainable organic synthesis through catalysis and chemical biology. I am excited to further my knowledge by exploring fluorine chemistry with the Gouverneur group. Outside of Chemistry, I enjoy reading, playing video games, and bouldering.
Keble-CSHP Scholarship 2026
I hail from Singapore and earned my BSc in Chemistry at Imperial College London, where I completed my final year project with Becky Greenaway. Along the way, I was fortunate to undertake internships in the Tan Choon Hong, Roderich Süssmuth, Jonathan Burton, and Phil Baran groups. Exploring diverse chemistry ranging from oxoniums to peptides solidified my love for synthetic organic chemistry, particularly total synthesis. Outside the lab, I enjoy baseball, powerlifting (and staying active in general), and drawing!
Oxford Radcliffe Scholarship 2026
I completed my MChem in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh, with a placement at Roche in Switzerland. I worked in the DNA-Encoded Library Department, with a focus upon photocatalysis and targeted protein degradation. I am excited to join the Schofield group to continue my studies at the interface of organic synthesis and biochemistry to help tackle antibiotic resistance. I also enjoy trail running, bouldering and badminton!
Alec Bond Scholarship 2026
I'm originally from the Wirral, and I completed my undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences at St Catharine's College, University of Cambridge, specialising in organic chemistry. I spent my final year working in the Gaunt Group for my MSci project, studying photocatalytic halogen-atom transfer reactions. I also spent a summer working on enantioselective palladium catalysis in the Stoltz Group at Caltech. Outside the lab, I enjoy running, cycling, rowing and relaxing with a good book!
Jesus-CSHP Scholarship 2026
Originally from the West Midlands, I completed an MChem in Chemistry at the University of York. During this, I spent a year working at Pharmaron UK transforming batch photochemical reactions into photoflow technology, including completing reactions on the hectogram scale. Furthermore, I have worked with Prof. Paul McGonigal and Dr. William Unsworth synthesising organic functional materials and medium-sized rings respectively. Outside of the lab, I enjoy badminton, golf, hiking and travelling, as well as playing the guitar and drums casually.
I completed my MChem degree at the University of Liverpool in 2026, where I developed a strong interest in the field of organic synthesis. My fourth year research project was under the supervision of Professor Andrea Vezzoli, working towards the synthesis of benzodifuranone-derived oligomers for applications in molecular electronics. Outside of Chemistry, I enjoy crafting and many trips to the cinema.
Originally from China, I grew up in London, and completed my MSci in Chemistry at the University of Cambridge. During my degree, I explored a range of research areas, from developing bio-orthogonal bond cleavage reactions for prodrug activation in a summer project to investigating iron catalysts for hydroformylation in my master's project. I am excited to build on these experiences in my DPhil, where I will be working on catalytic copolymerisation of CO₂ under the supervision of Professors Charlotte Williams and Antoine Buchard. Outside of the lab, I am a keen rower and enjoy almost any sport.
